Rae Broyles

Rae Broyles studied illustration and painting at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI and The American Academy of Art in her hometown of Chicago, IL. She has studied in the South of France and also under the mentorship of Michael David who has work in the permanent collections at The Guggenheim Museum and Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Rae’s artistic endeavors were not by whim. Her father was an illustrator and a student of Norman Rockwell and her grandfather was a painter sustained by commissions. The career of painting has been in her family for generations dating back to 16th century Denmark.

Rae has shown her work at fine art galleries throughout the US and Canada winning numerous national awards. She has taught at Fine Arts Workshop in Atlanta and was a founding member of the Southeastern Encaustic Artists. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
