Colombian artist, Italian by adoption. Her basic formation in Fine Arts acquired in her native land at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University (1985-1991), where she also completed studies of contemporary and classical dance, perfected later in Italy with experiences in scenography and theatrical action, activities that have been some of her main sources of inspiration. Specialized in engraving carried out at the reknown Scuola Internazionale ¨Il Bisonte¨(1992-1993) in Florence and in the Scuola of specialization in photoengraved of Valdottavo, Lucca, Studio Camnitzer (1993-1994), as well as in the Scuola Internazionale ¨Fuji, in the Scuola Internazionale of engraving “Studio Santa Reparata” in Florence. Has participated in numerous collective and individual expositions in Colombia, United States of America, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany and Poland. Winner of the 25th edition of the Mini print Internazionale Cadaques, Barcelona, Spain, reward that adds to other received in Colombia and Italy. Her work is abstract, but with realists references extracted in a main way of her own practices from the dance world and from the theatrical and corporal expression.
Recently Viviana held workshops with non-toxic etching photo-polymer film in the city of Buenos Aires in the Intaglio workshop of Graciela Buratti, techniques which she dominates now and combined with digital printing processes.
